Gather the people, tell the stories, and break the bread.--John Shea
In addition to the intimacy that develops naturally as we worship and serve on the chart together, the following opportunities nurture our life together.
A Supper Club is a group of 10-12 people who meet for a meal once a month over the course of a year. Members are encouraged to share their stories with the group and to listen to the stories of others who are there. It’s a good opportunity to make friends with a variety of age groups and life experiences. One person/family volunteers to host the dinners in their home while the other members of the group bring a food item. Supper Clubs kick-off in September though it is possible to jump in midyear.
Most opportunities at DaySpring are intergenerational. However, we do have periodic age-group fellowships of 20, 30, 40, 50, and Really-somethings. The different groups meet at different times for different activities, so please watch the newsletter and worship guide for information on your age group’s next gathering.
Women's Brunch Bunch
An intergenerational group of women meet on the third Tuesday of each month, 10:00 a.m., at Cafe Cappucino downtown to eat, share concerns, pray, tell stories, and laugh. All women are welcome and invited to join.
Dinner on the Grounds
Bring your picnic blanket, a friend or your family, a frisbee and dinner for a time of fellowship on our church grounds. We typically host Dinner on the Grounds on the last Wednesday of the month during the school year. Watch the newsletter for details. Some months we will have a food truck here, other months we take it inside for a pot-luck meal. This is a great way to get to know others in the congregation.
