A Note from Pastor Eric - February 16, 2021
February 16, 2021
Fat Tuesday has turned into Frigid Tuesday, and for many of you, it’s become Frozen Pipes and Frozen People Tuesday as so many people are without power and heat today. On our DaySpring Membership Facebook page, there’s been a way to share what’s going on and to offer or receive help or some encouragement or just a few laughs. If you use Facebook, join that group as an easy way to connect through the week.
If you’re not on Facebook, please reach me for anything we can do to help you, by email: , or by phone/ text: 254-744-1556. My prayers are with each of you and with all our fellow Central Texans as we deal with this bananas week.
It looks for certain that we’re in for another round of ice tomorrow. For that reason, all of our Ash Wednesday services are cancelled except for one. At 9 pm on Zoom, join us for Evening Benediction. This brief end-of-the-day prayer is a meaningful way to bring the day to a close. Tomorrow’s service will be an Ash Wednesday Benediction. I hope you can join in. Here’s the link:
We probably will not have a newsletter tomorrow but plan to send one out before the end of the week with information about Sunday’s Formation classes and worship plans. Remember, worship is at 11:00 am beginning this Sunday. It’s too early to know if we’ll be able to meet in person or only on Youtube. Either way, we’re going to celebrate God’s grace helps us survive this week!
Hang in there, friends. You are loved, you are cared for, and you are not alone. Hold your brothers and sisters in your heart, even as they carry you in prayer.
God’s peace to each of you.
