July 3rd Newsletter
During Eric's sabbatical, we will hear from different members of DaySpring's staff and church council.
I am grateful for the many ways in which I see the Lord at work in our congregation. I see you caring for each other, taking meals to those who are sick and grieving, gathering items for families at the border, and gathering items for SunShine Recovery house. Thank you to all of you who have helped in these ways. Thank you for those who helped get ready for the funeral for Charlene Perdue, to our cleaning teams, mowing teams, and flowerbed teams (which needs more help -- contact Susan Perdue or Wendy Cox if you can help!). You stepped up to fill in holes in Spiritual Formation this past Sunday when our substitute teachers were sick. You have shown up for birthday parties, prayers, advisory teams for interns, and Bible studies. A good group met last week with Blair Quinius to talk about mission trip possibilities for next summer. There was great energy and excitement about next summer. Your church council and other teams are hard at work supporting the church's ministry, having conversations about facilities, finances, and mission.
I really have the best seat in the house as they say. I get to see how God uses you and your gifts to build up the body of Christ and to help this small congregation be the hands and feet of Christ in this place. Thanks be to God for the creative ways in which God uses each of you. Safe travels to those of you traveling this week, and please remember our youth group and the Italy team in your prayers. See below for how you can help encourage our youth while they are at camp and upon their return.
