Grace and peace to you this week. This Sunday, we will have the pleasure of welcoming back to DaySpring Blair Quinius, our friend and the founder of Urban Promise Honduras. Three DaySpring groups have travelled to Copan Ruinas, Honduras, to spend a week of service and learning with UPH. We hope to take another group in 2020. Blair is now the Director of Urban Promise Latin America, helping the ministry expand in several other countries where youth and children need stability, care, and hope. Blair will lead a combined Sunday School hour which will be inspiring. In worship, two of his colleagues will preach together this Sunday, in Spanish, while Victor Hinojosa translates. It should be a lively time for everyone!
I’ll miss this Sunday as I’ll be in Floresville, Texas, at the farm of Robert and Melinda Creech. We are leading a course for Truett students called Nature as Spiritual Practice. This course examines spirituality, creation, and ecological issues with a particular focus on the theology of eating food. I think this is going to be a great week. I’ll be back the following Sunday and look forward to sharing worship, and all-church breakfast(!) with you then. God’s peace to you,
