November 13th Newsletter
Good afternoon. I am delighted to share with you that we are seeking applicants for Minister to Children and Families. Our search committee has posted the position on the front page of our website and on our facebook page. If you or someone you love are interested in applying, please see the information on the position. The committee will begin reviewing applications after December 6.
Children’s ministry has been and remains a priority for our church. Over the years, as the number of children has exponentially increased, we have held to the core principles of our ministry:
Community: invitation to children to be part of the whole life of the church through intergenerational relationships,
Worship: participation in the worshiping life of the congregation,
Formation: age-appropriate experiences in study and spiritual formation,
Stewardship: teaching children to give back to the church in service,
Mission: leading children to love and serve our neighbors.
Our Minister to Children and Families helps us do all of these things with love, hospitality, creativity, and delight in each and every child we have the privilege of knowing at DaySpring. We’re committed to the Christian formation of our children, to their parents in all the blessings and challenges of family life, and to the safety and security of our ministries with children.
I’m proud of those who have given leadership to our ministry with children over the years: Katina Kelley, Tiffani Harris, Jo Anne Beaty. Let us give thanks for each of them (and so many others) and join me in prayer for the one who will lead us in the coming years.
Happy Wednesday to you. You remain in my prayers until we are together again. God’s peace,
