Meet the Chaplains: Abigail Villagrana

My name is Abigail Villagrana, and I am working on my Master’s of Divinity at George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University.

I was born and raised in Fort Worth and my family lives near the Stock Yards neighborhood. I have a brother named Daniel, and my mom and dad, Cristina and Sergio, are ministers at a local Spanish-speaking church in Fort Worth. I am a PK (pastor’s kid)!

I enjoy a good sunset, spending time with people I love, and walking my dog, Bailey, on Baylor’s campus. A fun fact about me is that I spent a semester in New York City serving in a community of South Asian immigrants. This was a moment in my life that transformed me and the way I feel God calls us to engage with people in the world.

I am happy to be part of a community that engages with the world around us in a tangible way through the Naomi House!
