Here’s a beginning of September update on our building campaign and the beginning of the design phase of the building.
Over the Summer, many of you gave to the Building Fund so we already have 1/3 of our pledge goal! Thank you for your generous and faithful giving, above and beyond the giving to our general fund.
In July, Langerman Engineering completed the Geotechnical report, a technical document that provides information about the ground conditions at a proposed construction site. That report allows the architects at RBDR to better plan for foundation needs and costs $7300.
At our July Quarterly Meeting, the council proposed an ad hoc committee to work with the architects, council, and staff to make decisions about the future multi-purpose building. The proposal passed, and DaySpringers serving on this team are:
Jo Anne Beatty (chair), Elise Edwards, Randy Cox, and Brent Harris.
Last week, the team met with our architects from RBDR architects. Currently, they are meeting with staff to talk through refinements to the schematic plans. The team will continue to meet with architects over the next few weeks as this phase begins.
Thank you for your continued support for the project.
